Our weekend consisted of dog sitting, me working and a festival!
We dog sat for a client of mine in a house that is so far above my pay grade I will never have one in my life…..unless I were to marry a millionaire which isn’t likely. Nadia loves to go there because there is a movie theater in the house and one of the dogs, Henry, loves to snuggle with her.
It almost makes it hard to come back to my hovel……almost. The internet service is terrible!! I attempted to participate in some blog link ups but the connection made loading the linky pages sooooo slooooww I finally gave up. And it just isn’t homey. Not my kind of homey anyway.
Since this family is a regular client of mine I did some of my routine work while I was there and also went over and worked at the mother’s house. We will be staying there again in late July for eight days…..Nadia can’t wait!
But we did find time for some fun! We went to the Scottish Highland Games where there was Scottish rock-n-roll, athletics, jewelry, food and many many clan booths. The highlight for me was receiving a weaving/warping tutorial for table top & floor looms. This is my newest interest and I am really enjoying it!! They also had displays of the mesh body armor soldiers wore in the middle ages…which was pretty cool. Wish my son had been there to see those!
And while there, I had to stop and have Nadia take a pic of me in, I don’t even know what these are called…and of course, my eyes are closed. Nadia refused to take part in such silliness
My brother usually takes care of my dogs when we dog sit and he does a great job! His dog will be staying with us while he does a little traveling on his Harley this summer. My boys love having his girl around and they get along really well.
It is nice to be home with my boys, a good internet connection and my kind of hominess!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
