In my Pan Seared Lamb Chops post yesterday I shared that the doctors have FINALLY found something with Nadia!!
For those of you unaware, Nadia has been pretty sick since early April. She missed the last two months of school last year and is doing a home-bound program this year. She has been through dozens of tests, one which landed her in the hospital for nine days
I know what you are thinking…. ‘Why on earth would you be happy that the doctors found something wrong with your daughter??’. At this point we just want some answers. All of the tests have shown us how healthy she is with no indication whatsoever as to what was making her sick. It has been very discouraging and tested her faith at times. Which is something that is difficult enough for her to understand because of her mental capacity.
Now, its definitely not the answer to all her ills but it is something and a beginning. Thank you God for hearing our prayers!
The next month is crazy busy for us. Lots of house/dog sitting, lots of doctor appointments, senior pictures with life, work & school all mixed in. But, like I’ve said before, I like to be busy.
Some scriptures regarding joy
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. – Galatians 5:17-23
