Jump into a sprawling, Greek mythology-inspired open world as you battle mythological beings and try to save the gods. The sprawling action RPG offers close to 100 hours of content to explore — ranging from mind-bending puzzles to frantic boss fights. It all looks stunning, too, with a colorful art style and explosive special effects, making every battle a feast for the eyes. It sticks a bit close to the Ubisoft formula (that is, you’ll find a map loaded with side-quests), but Fenyx Immortals Rising is a great game if you need something to keep you busy until the next big release.

Seas of Thieves is probably the best pirate simulator on the market. You’ll take to the high seas in search of treasure as you explore mysterious, long-forgotten lands with a few trusty crewmates. The thieving fun can be played solo, although you’re better off with a trusty bunch of swashbucklers by your side.

Combat is surprisingly difficult too and revolves around a stamina-based dodging system. Rainbow Six Siege exploded onto the scene in 2015 and quickly became an esports powerhouse. The years since have been kind to the FPS, with dozens of updates adding new maps, new characters, and new gear to unlock and experiment with. Two teams are pitted against each other in quick matches that offer no respawning, and destructible environments mean no two rounds ever play out the same. The tense action is best experienced with a few friends and a pregame strategy, although everyone can enjoy some casual chaos with its solo matchmaking.

From the same studio that crafted Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood is a spiritual successor to the wildly popular franchise of yesteryear. Many of the same tropes return, as you’ll be facing off against hordes of zombies as you travel from safehouse to safehouse. A variety of playable characters are up for grabs, each with unique abilities and the option to further customize their gameplay with unlockable upgrades. It doesn’t do too much to reinvent the wheel, but there’s plenty of fun to be had with this squad-based shooter.
